Description and Uses
Methyl (2R,3S)-(+)-2,3-dihydroxy-3-phenylpropionate can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of:
- Biologically important 5-phenyl substituted Δ2-thiazolines.
- An antidepressant, (+)-(S)-dapoxetine.
