Description and Uses
N-Fluoropyridinium pyridine heptafluorodiborate, is used as moderately powerful electrophilic fluorinating agent, especially for transfer of fluorine to reactive sites of activated olefins (enol esters, silyl enol ethers, enamines) and sulfides. The reactions can be carried out in conventional glass equipment in a solvent such as acetonitrile.
