5-Sulfosalicylic acid dihydrate may be used in the preparation of 1:1 proton-transfer organic adduct, 3-aminopyridin-ium 3-carb-oxy-4-hydroxy-benzene-sulfonate monohydrate and the anhydrous adduct.
