Description and Uses
2,2,4,4,6-Pentamethylheptane is a branched alkane. It is heptane and carries two methyl groups at each of the 2 and 4 positions and one methyl group at the 6 position. It can be used as a pharmaceutical chemical synthesis intermediate and also in cosmetics.
