Description and Uses
2-(4-Fluorophenyl)-2-phenylacetonitrile is used as a reagent in the synthesis of unsymmetric triarylacetonitriles via palladium-catalyzed sequential arylations from chloroacetonitrile and further conversion to tri- and tetraarylmethanes.
