Description and Uses
4-Bromo-3,5-dimethoxybenzoic acid methyl ester is a chemical building block and can be used in the synthesis of more complex structures. It can also be used as a reactant for the synthesis of 5,7-Dimethoxy-3,4-diphenylisocoumarin by coupling with diphenylacetylene and biotin dimedone, a reagent used in the study of protein sulfenation.
