Description and Uses

The tripeptide trileucine (Leu-Leu-Leu) is found in casein and soy protein. This substance could increase the endothelial release of TXB₂ which is a stable marker of TXA₂. Inhibitor of human liver alanine aminopeptidase, Ki 0.054 mM. The addition of trileucine improved the aerosol performance and stability of spray-dried powders for inhalation.

Leu-Leu-Leu could be used to synthesize Cl^-.H₂⁺-Leu-Leu-Leu-OMe (a hydrochloric acid salt of Peptide derivative IIa).
