Description and Uses
Ethyl 3-Mercaptopropanoate is a useful synthetic intermediate. It can be used to prepare acylaminobutyldecahydroisoquinolines with HIV protease-inhibiting activities. It can also be used to prepare new anti-MRSA cephalosporins (cephalosporins C zinc salt, C258750).
