Description and Uses
Nonylphenol Ethoxylate, also known as NPEs, are nonionic surfactants that are liquid in form. Many different types of NPEs are determined by the number of moles of Ethylene Oxide, or EO. NPEs may function as adjuvants, cleaners, detergents, dispersants, emulsifiers, humectants, solubilizers or wetting agents. Nonylphenol Ethoxylates are used in many applications, including coatings, crop solutions, functional fluids, household, industrial, and institutional cleaning, as well as oil and gas.
NP40 Cell Lysis Buffer is suitable for the preparation of cell extracts to be analyzed by Antibody Bead Immunoassay (Luminex), ELISA, and Western blotting. It can also be used as a wash buffer for immunoprecipitation reactions.
