Description and Uses

3-(Methacryloyloxy)propyltris(trimethylsiloxy) silane acts as a tetramethylsilane-protected silicate compound utilized for proteomics research. It is also used as a silane coupling agent, silane adhesion promoter, silane hydrophobing agent, silane dispersing agent and silane crosslinking agent. It is also employed as a silane moisture scavenger, polypropylene catalyst, silicate stabilizer, polyurethane endcapper silane, silane drying agent, silane curing agent and silane reinforcer. Further, it serves as a silylating agent, silane reducing agent, silyl building block and synthons in synthetic chemistry.
